Paintball is a popular summer team sport

Paintball can be played on purpose built fields or private land. Players use air or CO2 operated “markers” that shoot balls filled with water soluble dye to hit and eliminate opposing players. All players must also wear proper safety face-masks, to prevent eye injuries. The game is played by splitting your group into two teams. Decide before hand what type of game you will play. Two common variations are capture the flag and elimination. In capture the flag, teams move to opposite ends of the play area and place a flag in a suitable location. It should be low enough for the other teams players to grab it, and clearly visible. When the game starts, some players begin making their way towards the opposite side to steal the opponent’s flag. The rest of the team prepares to defend the flag on their own end. The first team to return the opponents flag to their team’s flag base wins. An elimination game is somewhat easier to set up, as no flags are need. Both teams start from their sides of the field, and play until one team has lost all of its players.

Creamy Baked Chicken is Divine

Last night I had creamy baked chicken with white rice and garlic cheese biscuits. Warning, this meal is not Atkins diet approved! It’s a great southern meal that is big on taste and calories. The best cut of chicken to use is boneless breasts. Add salt and pepper to the breasts and put in a baking dish. Combine sour cream and cream of chicken and pour the mixture over the chicken. Bake until chicken is done and serve over white rice. I especially like the garlic cheese biscuits. They are a great combination of tasty garlic and sharp cheddar cheese and really help scoop up all of the delicious creamy sauce left on your plate.
More on Halloween Costumes

Want to be Little Orphan Annie or Daddy Warbucks? Just about any dog can stand in for Sandy if you make sure he looks a little scruffy. If you are creative, the sky’s the limit for dog Halloween costumes that coordinate with your costume. As just one example, you may want to turn your dog into a wiener by making two sides of a bun and attaching them like saddlebags to either side of your dog. You could make the bun from cardboard or sew and stuff two oblong, bun-like pillows from light brown fabric. This is especially cute on a dachshund, but you also could have a “jumbo dog” or maybe a knockwurst or polish sausage dog. Once you have your dog decked out, what about your costume? You could be a baseball fan or a hot dog vendor. When your dog’s costume is coordinated with your own costume and you celebrate as a duo, it’s a clear sign to the world how close you are and the big role your pet plays in your life.
