Being an Aunt
By admin
I became an Aunt for the first time nearly 3 years ago when my beautiful niece was born. Ever since then I feel such a tremendous responsibility to her, and now her brother. This time in their lives is so precious. I feel like I am taking part in shaping their lives. I feel like it is my responsibility to help make sure that they feel loved and encouraged and that they grow up knowing that they are capable of anything. No matter what, I want them to know that they have my love and support. This is what’s most important to me.
I Want to Ride My Bicycle
By admin
One of my favorite childhood memories was the fun I had with my bike. I used to get up at nearly the crack of dawn every morning during the summer and virtually ride my bike until sundown. I felt so independent on my bike. I could go anywhere I wanted, without restriction. I enjoyed riding through my neighborhood looking for kids to play with. I didn’t mind when no one was out because I was on my bike. Riding a bike as an adult is not at all the same as it was then. Sure I can still ride a bike, but it doesn’t give me the same feeling of freedom it once did. I think that is largely due to the fact that my life as a whole does not have the same overall care freeness that it did then.

The Joys of Being a Nerd
By admin
I have always enjoyed what might be considered “nerdy” activities, such as playing video games and real life role playing games. I also greatly enjoy movies and music. I like the fact that the things I enjoy put me in a less popular group. I’ve always felt inclined to avoid what is fashionable and widely acceptable because time and time again I’ve been greatly disappointed with those things. I like that I can have fun playing my MMO and not have to worry about what people might think. I feel like my hobbies give me the freedom to be open minded and try things that other people might not for fear of appearances.
Quiche

Recently while visiting my brother and his family, I had a very delicious spinach and bacon quiche. I’ve always enjoyed a good quiche, but never really considered the fact that it is something I could make myself. Much to my surprise, it is a very simple dish to make. From what my sister-in-law said, all you need is a plain store bought pie crust, eggs, milk, and whatever ingredients you’d like to add to the quiche. In this case, it was onions, bacon, spinach, and cheese. These “special” ingredients are placed in layers at the bottom of the crust, while the milk and egg mixture is poured on top. Then it is simply baked and enjoyed!
