A friend of mine asked me what I do to combat boredom. I’m sorry- I had to laugh at her. For the past two years, my husband and I have been caretakers for his aging and ill parents. Down time and boredom were not something that we even considered. However, Dad passed away, Mom is holding steady and I’ve recently found myself with a bit of time on my hands. What to do, what to do? For me it was easy. There are two things I do. One is to spend time with our horse- sometimes just sitting in the paddock listening to him eat his hay. It soothes my soul. Other times you can find me tending my small vegetable garden. The motion of weeding is soothing, it is quiet, often times the only noise is the birds singing, my dog panting softly near me and my crazy cat purring as she supervises. Works for me.

Fortunately for me, my daily inspiration- the reason I keep going day in and day out- comes in the form of two small boys. Explosives come in small packages like my boys, but nothing can match the explosive power of their love, laughter and joy. To see their faces lit in smile, to hear their laughter, to answer their endless questions about the world around them drives me more each and every day to be a better person, a better mother and to leave behind a strong and thriving legacy. I always thought I was a smart and driven person- but until my boys came along, I did not know what drive truly was.

Better opportunity to hunt bigger game brought about better health for our founding fathers. A better ability to defend themselves and their families, to provide for them. You can use rounds to create fire in order to cook the game you’ve hunted. Firearms allow for personal defense and the freedom of our great country. Firing at paper zombies is also some of the best stress relief imaginable. Try it some time, you might just like it!
