Uh… Second Opinion Please?
By admin
With two weeks to go before imminent death, I suppose my greatest regret would be not going to a better doctor. My second greatest regret would likely be the fact that I never lived anywhere I wanted to live. All my life, I have wanted to live in Alaska and experience life in a place where the simple decision to bring an extra blanket in the car would matter in a way that things in the states do not. I never moved to Alaska because I married and adopted and it just became less and less of a reality in my life. If I did find myself in a position where I had only two weeks to live, I would get a second opinion and, if that didn’t change anything, I would live out my days in Alaska where I always wanted to live and die under the Northern Lights.
There’s No Place like Lighthouse

I am a man and I love lighthouses. It’s a contradiction. I’m not sure why, but I’ve been fascinated by them and I’ve always wanted to live in one and so, if I could change one thing about my home without worrying about the cost, mess, or what my wife would do to me when she found out, I would construct a third story lighthouse turret room complete with wraparound balcony and office. This room would be the envy of the neighborhood and break untold housing association rules, but it would be quite all right because I would be standing on that balcony, suave and sophisticated in my captain’s hat, looking down upon my jealous neighbors who will be absolutely green with envy.

A Friend for Life

We know that dog is a grateful animal. It is also one of the intelligent of all five sensed beings. A dog is useful to man in many ways. It guards our house and properties, serves as an eye to blind people, a sniffer to detect dangerous materials and a friend who does not desert us. Such a noble animal deserves to be cared for and be respected as one among our family. Dogs find it easy to move with the help of small dog carriers, especially young ones which need to adapt to unfamiliar environment. There are a lot of shops that specialize in dog related products. Let us be kind to someone who cares for us so much and keep them as friends for life.
Artist when Idle

It never fails. When I am bored, usually in meetings or when I’m waiting for an overdue appointment, I start to doodle on paper. Meeting minutes and my notepad are often bedecked with nonsensical cartoonish drawings culled from the dark recesses of my strange and dangerous imagination. Spaceships, the faces of people I don’t know, a pathetic attempt to duplicate a work by Van Gogh or M.C. Eisher, and Mickey Mouse holding a sword and chasing tourists from the Disneyland gate. One day I shall frame these works and, perhaps when I am gone they will be worth something. Realistically, they probably won’t, but I guess I can dream… and draw it when things get dull.
