I recently bought a midsize townhouse in the heart of my suburban town by the countryside. It’s a gated community, which makes me feel very safe and at the same time slightly trapped in! Many families with small children have also chosen this complex as a home because it is very close to some reputable schools. I love the kids when they’re playing in the large park area, but not so much when the parents let them play hockey in our driveways – it’s both dangerous and they can get rowdy! As for the house itself, it’s very charming. Two floors and a basement do my husband and me over quite well and it’s great that we have room to expand our family. It is an older house so it can have its ups and downs as well as its squeaks and creaks but I can see us staying here for at least 10 more years to come!
