When I say skipping, I don’t mean that I didn’t pass high school. I mean that I took the direction that seemed the best at the time for me: online schooling. Let me tell you, you’ve got to be one motivated cookie to be a teenager making your way through high school with online courses. I remember spending about 4 hours a day online, writing up assignments and reading various text books. It did give me a lot more time for work and helping my single mother around the house, but part of me now wishes I had gone through the traditional experience of going to school every day and hanging out with friends all the time.
